Central Region police spokesperson John Namalenga said all the 15 suspects arrested in connection with the incident had no merchandise which casts doubt on their being street vendors.

Of the 15, four were arrested in Old Town, while eleven were arrested in Area 23 where the chaos spread later in the evening.
