Malaria is number cause of deaths in under five children and cause of 40% hospital addmissions in Malawi. I personally feel ashamed and incapacitated as a health manager practising under such hopeless environment. Whether its due to logistical problems (as always claimed) or mere negligence, I feel unavailability of anti-malaria drugs in hospitals uncalled for. I am sure we can do better through regular monitoring and supervision at all levels.
