Mutharika is acting with impunity, and making erratic decisions knowing that no one around him will question or speak out against him. People within the cabinet who have grievances are understandably afraid for their jobs, businesses and other interests. Speaking to the media, however, will not change anything. It will certainly not help to promote and preserve the democracy that brave Malawians have fought hard for.
